Police open arson investigation into Maili fire
Police opened an arson investigation into a patio fire Sunday morning in Maili.
Neighbors reported the fire on St. Johns Road at 9:12 a.m., near St. Phillip’s Episcopal Church. Firefighters brought the fire under control six minutes later.
Two occupants, both renters, got out safely. No injuries were reported.
Damage is estimated at $20,000.
Investigators believe the fire was intentionally set.
