Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota will spend NFL Draft day in Honolulu, it was announced.

Mariota, a Saint Louis School and University of Oregon product, is considered to be one of the top prospects in the NFL Draft, which will be held April 30-May 2 in Chicago.

He is listed behind Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston among quarterbacks and is regarded among the top picks overall, according to draft analysts. Winston, who held his pro day in Tallahassee, Fla., Tuesday, also said he would not attend the draft festivities, which was moved from New York to Chicago this year.

The NFL usually invites the top prospects to attend.

Mariota led Oregon to the National Championship game against Ohio State.

He is the first from Hawaii and the first Polynesian to win the Heisman Trophy.
