The Search for Signs of Hawaiian Life: Alaska

CLINTON CHAR
WARM WELCOME
Father-daughter traveling companions Clinton and Stephanie Char of Honolulu headed up north two weeks ago to see the Aurora Borealis. The Northern Lights shone on all three nights they spent in Fairbanks, Alaska. “Seeing and photographing the lights has been on both of our bucket lists for a long time,” said Clinton Char. The weather was cold and snowy; however, the local food at The Aloha B.B.Q. Grill “really warmed us up,” he said. Stephanie Char gives a gloved shaka outside the restaurant.
