Honolulu police arrested a 40-year-old woman Thursday night on suspicion of second-degree murder in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash on the H-1 freeway Wednesday night.

The crash killed Keith Jantoc, 25, of Mililani.

Police are trying to determine whether the driver of a sports utility vehicle intentionally struck the motorcyclist in the town-bound lanes of the freeway near the Kunia onramp at about 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Police arrested the woman at about 10:30 p.m. at the main police station on Beretania Street. There are no other suspects in custody at this time.

Honolulu Police Department spokeswoman Michelle Yu said police classified the case as a murder investigation based on information provided by witnesses.

At about 7 a.m. Thursday, police received an anonymous call about a suspicious vehicle with front-end damage in a parking lot near the Oahu Urban Garden Center in Pearl City. Responding officers found a dark-colored Chevy SUV with motorcycle parts in its front grille.

Police towed the vehicle away as possible evidence in the case.

A photo of a similar dark-colored SUV with the same license plate as the vehicle seized by police is posted on the suspect’s Facebook page.
