An 80-year-old woman was hospitalized Tuesday morning after the car she was driving rammed a building in McCully.

Firefighters responded at 7:58 a.m. to a report of a person was pinned in a car that hit a building in the 1800 block of Algaroba Street.

When firefighters arrived six minutes later, the 80-year-old driver had gotten out of the car.

Firefighters found her in an upstairs apartment in the building.

Paramedics treated her and took her to the hospital. Her condition was not reported.

There was only minor damage to the building.
