NEW YORK >> Fox will broadcast its NFL pregame show from the deck of the Battleship Missouri Memorial the day before the 74th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attacks.

The network said Wednesday that a two-hour live edition of “Fox NFL Sunday” will air Dec. 6 with the USS Arizona Memorial as a backdrop. The show will include segments about the surprise Japanese air attack Dec. 7, 1941, that plunged America into World War II.

Fox Sports will hold events and host studio programming at Pearl Harbor from Dec. 4-7, including coverage of the Big Ten football title game Dec. 5. Cable channel Fox Sports 1 is televising two college basketball games from Bloch Arena on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam on Dec. 7, when Oklahoma faces Villanova and Navy plays Oregon.

Fox baseball analyst Harold Reynolds and several major leaguers will also take part in clinics for local children Dec. 4. The players include Kansas City Royals starter Jeremy Guthrie, Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado and Boston Red Sox outfielder Shane Victorino, who is from Hawaii.
