Man charged in check forgery case
A 53-year-old man was charged Monday night with cashing five personal checks belonging to a 59-year-old man on five different occasions in December in the Pearl City area.
Eric Yokota was arrested in Aiea and charged Monday night with five counts of second-degree forgery; five counts of third-degree identity theft; second-degree theft; and unauthorized possession of personal information. His bail was set at $20,000.
The arrest log did not list a local address for Yokota.
Police said that Yokota allegedly cashed checks personal belonging to a 59-year-old man at five different banks on five occasions between Dec. 11-16.
