Nathaniel Kipi was charged with second-degree murder, possibly in connection with the death of his son in 2013.

A 24-year-old Makaha man has been charged with murder, possibly in connection with the death of his infant son.

Nathaniel Christian Kipi, of Lahaina Street, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the main police station for investigation of second-degree murder. He was charged and his bail was set at $150,000.

Police did not have any information on Kipi’s case, but the Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the death of Kipi’s son in 2013 to be a homicide.

Tama Michael Nainoa O Kalani Wilbur, who was less than a year old, died on March 24, 2013. Wilbur died of complications from “abusive head trauma,” according to the Medical Examiner’s office.
