Coast Guard rescues 3 paddlers after canoe capsizes in Kalihi Channel
The Coast Guard rescued three paddlers after their outrigger canoe capsized in Kalihi Channel about 4:40 p.m. Tuesday.
A witness notified the Coast Guard Sector Honolulu that the canoe had capsized sending its six paddlers into the water. A response boat was launched, arrived on scene about 5 p.m. and recovered three people.
A second outrigger canoe arrived on scene and recovered the remaining three people.
No injuries were reported .
