UH lineman Afusia to join arena football team

Former University of Hawaii offensive lineman Kody Afusia is set to join the Los Angeles KISS of the Arena Football League. Afusia said he will sign a contract with the KISS on Tuesday morning.

“It’ll be awesome,” Afusia said. “It’ll be a good chance to get some game film.” Afusia played both guard and center at UH. 

He has been told he will be used exclusively at center with the KISS. 

Gene Simmons, lead singer of the rock band “Kiss,” is the co-owner of the Los Angeles football franchise.
