Police on Thursday seized a black Chevy Tahoe believed to have been involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash Wednesday night on the H-1 freeway. The SUV was damaged, and motorcycle parts were found in the vehicle’s front grille.

An Oahu grand jury returned an indictment Tuesday, charging a 40-year-old Kalihi woman in connection with the hit-and-run death of motorcyclist Keith Jantoc on the H-1 freeway in April.

Chantel Andrade was indicted with fleeing the scene of a fatal crash, and driving without a license. Her bail was set at $25,000.

Jantoc, 25, of Mililani was riding his motorcycle on H-1 near Waikele when he was struck by an SUV on the night of April 15.

Police arrested Andrade after a damaged SUV believed to have been involved in the crash was found in a Pearl City parking lot the morning following the crash. Andrade had traffic violations with a vehicle with the same license plate as the recovered SUV.

She was arrested for investigation of second-degree murder, but was released pending investigation.
