Soldier killed in Wahiawa motorcycle crash

Honolulu Police closed Wilikina Drive Friday morning as Traffic Division officers investigated fatal motorcycle crash.

Army officials confirmed the 29-year-old man killed in a motorcycle crash in Wahiawa Friday morning was a soldier stationed at Schofield Barracks.
His name and unit were not released.
Emergency Medical Services said motorcyclist , who was wearing a helmet, apparently struck a pole and died at the scene of his injuries at about 5:26 a.m
Police closed Wilikina Drive between Kaukonahua Road and Kamanaui Road while Traffic Division officers investigated the crash. The road was reopened at 8:33 a.m.
