Hiker airlifted to safety after fall at Iao Valley on Maui
A California man fell 15 feet from an embankment while hiking near Iao Stream on Maui.
Maui officials said firefighers responded to a call at 10:39 a.m. Friday that a man was injured after falling at Iao Valley State Park in Wailuku.
A 29-year-old visitor from Elk Grove, Calif. was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and airlifted by to the parking lot, where paramedics were waiting. The man was taken to Maui Memorial Medical Center in stable condition.
