Honolulu police are looking for a suspect in an early-morning stabbing near a bar across from Pearlridge Center Friday.

Police said the incident occurred at the Kaonohi Street business at 2:12 a.m.

The victim, a 27-year-old man, was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police closed Moanalua Loop between Kaonohi and Lii Ipo streets following the stabbing as detectives investigated the crime scene. The road reopened at about 4:45 a.m.

Police classified the case as an attempted murder investigation.
