Hawaii island police seek help in Aug. 6 Hilo robbery
Hawaii County police need help in finding the two male suspects who robbed a 33-year-old man Aug. 6 in Hilo.
Police said the males approached the man from behind and allegedly punched him, stole his wallet and cellphone and tried to take his backpack the afternoon of Aug. 6 near Keawe and Mamo streets. The attackers fled.
The man was taken to Hilo Medical Center and later flown to Oahu, where he was treated for serious facial injuries.
The assailants are each described as having a dark complexion and a stocky build. One is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and the other is about 6 feet tall.
