Missing work furlough inmate Asentista turns himself in
A work furlough inmate who was reported missing Saturday has turned himself in at the Oahu Community Correction Center with an added charge of Escape 2, the Department of Public Safety said.
Frederick Asentista, 58, returned at 11:35 p.m. He was on a job-seeking pass and was supposed to have returned to the Oahu Community Correctional Center by 5:30 p.m.
Asentista was serving tie for second-degree promotion of a detrimental drug. Second-degree escape is expected to be added to his charges. His next parole hearing was scheduled for February.
