Damage from Waianae house fire estimated at $165,000
The Honolulu Fire Department responded to a two-alarm building fire this morning in Waianae.
The fire was reported at 7:41 a.m. at 86-309 Puuhulu Street.
Firefighters arrived to the one-story single family house to see black smoke and flames coming out of the front portion of the house, officials said.
Firefighters made entry into the house and had the fire under control at 8:10 a.m.
The five occupants who live in the house were not home at the time and no injuries were reported.
Damage is estimated at $150,000 to the structure and $15,000 to its contents.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
