LOS ANGELES » A former English teacher at a prestigious Los Angeles school has pleaded guilty to having sex with two underage teen students, one of whom got pregnant.

City News Service says Joseph Koetters entered pleas Wednesday to oral copulation and sexual penetration by a foreign object, both involving a person under 18.

He was sentenced to a year in jail and must get therapy and register as a sex offender.

Prosecutors say Koetter — who worked at Marlborough School in Hancock Park — had sex with the students between 2000 and 2004.

One woman, who’s now in her 30s, told the judge that Koetters lured her into a yearlong relationship while he was her 11th grade teacher. She became pregnant but miscarried.
