The Honolulu Fire Department and the Coast Guard rescued three people from their 47-foot sport fishing boat after it ran aground a mile east of Black Point this morning.

Both fire rescue personnel and a Coast Guard 45-foot rescue boat reached the stricken vessel after receiving the call for help at 6:20 a.m.

The fire department took the three people off the boat and took them to shore, the Coast Guard said.

No injuries were reported.

The boat was still stuck on the reef at 9:30 a.m.
