The search resumed this morning for big-wave surfer Alec Cooke who has been missing since Tuesday on Oahu’s North Shore.

One fire company resumed operations just after 8 a.m. using a rescue boat assisted by the department’s helicopter.

Cooke, also known as “Ace Cool,” was last seen leaving his Waialua home Tuesday afternoon.

Cooke’s truck was found near Sts. Peter & Paul Mission in Waimea with his surfboard, dog and car keys inside, and a surfboard missing.
