Man found floating face down in stream near Chinatown
Paramedics treated and took a 62-year-old homeless man to the hospital in critical condition Sunday night after he was found floating face down in Nuuanu Stream in Chinatown.
Authorities said the man apparently fell into the stream at 9:23 p.m. at Hotel and River streets.
He was unconscious when firefighters pulled him out of the water and turned him over to paramedics at 9:45 p.m.
Three fire companies with 11 firefighters participated in the water rescue.
