Four people escaped injury Sunday as fire caused $20,000 in damage to a single-family home in Ewa Beach.

The fire, which was contained to one bedroom, was first reported at 1:53 p.m. Firefighters brought the blaze under control by 2:02 p.m. and had it fully extinguished by 2:10 p.m.

Nine fire companies staffed with 31 personnel responded to the fire.

Four people were home at the time of the fire but were able to evacuate unharmed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
