Man arrested after seen stealing woman’s purse on surveillance
A 51-year-old Pearl City man was in custody Sunday after he was seen on surveillance video taking a wallet from a woman’s purse, police said.
The victim, a 19-year-old woman, reported her wallet missing from her purse at a Honolulu business on Thursday, and surveillance video showed the suspect taking thewoman’s wallet that morning between 8:30 and 11:30, police said.
The man was arrested Saturday near Ward Avenue for investigation of second-degree theft.
