>> American Savings Bank President and CEO Rich Wacker will not receive a change-in-control payment of $3.8 million if NextEra’s purchase of HEI is approved and the bank is spun off as planned. A change-in-control payment would occur only if the bank were sold and Wacker’s job is eliminated, neither of which is contemplated. A story on Page D1 Sunday said Wacker would receive a change-in-control payment of $3.8 million but didn’t list the dual triggers required for that payment to occur.
