Mililani resident Bridget Lai (wearing red scarf) and Mavis Nikaido of Honolulu were in Japan last month to give a presentation at Aiwa Hospital in Kawagoe when they spotted the Ohana Grill. The friends, who both work at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children, were on a tour of the city with their boyfriends, Idris Thomas, left, and Paul Bursey, far right, when they saw the restaurant.
