Police are looking for a couple who flagged down a motorist seeking help and then tried to rob him in Waipahu.

The incident occurred at 4:30 p.m. Thursday when a woman stopped a motorist. Her male companion then blocked the victim’s car with his moped and entered the car from the passenger side. When the victim refused the couple’s demand for money, the victim was allegedly assaulted and drove off.

Let’s see now. There is no description of the area of Waipahu, no description of the car driven by the victim, no description of the assailants. It should be a slam dunk finding these guys.

Are you kidding, HPD is way too busy looking for the chief’s mailbox.Unless this couple decides to desecrate a Police monument I doubt they’ll put much effort into solving this crime.

Too bad they didn’t try and block my car with a moped. I would have taken great pleasure in running that thing over.

Isn’t it a shame that you have to be concerned about helping someone?

Best reason why I kept my son’s little league bat. Best part, the knob if used correctly, short stroke.

I bought a Hello Kitty aluminum bat from Ross for the same reason. It definitely doesn’t have a “I’m looking for trouble” look to it. Which could be helpful in court.

Years ago in Fort Wayne Indiana in certain area of the city, similar tactics were being used where a scantily dressed female would stand at a signal intersection block your path and a male would attempt to enter from the passenger side. Moral was to be prepared with a shortened baseball to ward of the intruder if he ever made it in. Best was to avoid if possible to drive in that distressed area.

A safety and precautionary habit – lock all doors when operating a vehicle and don’t hesitate to flee from would be robbers even if it means running over them!!

This is just like the beginning of the movie Bad Boys with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence when a woman in a hot mini-skirt walks in front of Will’s custom Porsche 911 Turbo and when both Will and Martin were distracted by the woman, two guys with guns tried to car jack the bad boys. Sounds like the horny toads driving around Waipahu with nice cars are going to lose their money and their ride.
