Kahuku man arrested in fight involving gun at Sandy Beach
A 21-year-old Kahuku man is in custody after he allegedly pulled out a gun during a fight at Sandy Beach Sunday evening.
Police said the fight occurred just before 6 p.m. between two men. A 23-year-old man tried to break up the fight, police said.
The suspect then took out a gun and threatened the 23-year-old man, fired the gun in air and fled, police said. He was later caught near the site of the fight on Kalanianaole Highway.
The suspect was arrested first-degree terroristic threatening, reckless endangering, first-degree theft, a drug violation and two fire arms violations.

HPD should have shot the guy dead fleeing the scene with a firearm in hand. He’ll be out and about in the near future to take up his trade again no doubt.
Kahuku criminals should stay up there.

My statement is about geography. I said nothing about race or ethnicity. As matter of fact, check the changing demography of the North Shore: It is mainly a caucasian area. So think again.

I believe the facts of the investigation will reveal there is no correlation between the shooter and a gun range participant. Let the facts of the investigation be shared with the public. Keep in mind shooter was charged with two firearm violations…an wondering it one it illegal possession of firearm. Aside from the aforementioned, the shooter will probably be another “Catch and Release”…
I kinda think those going to the range would not do what this guy did. They are pretty much responsible gun owners

Weekends and summertime have always been a bad time to enjoy Sandys. Unless you want to drink too much beer (starting at 9:00 in the morning), be loud, and look for trouble. Don’t blame this on Kahuku, there are plenty of townies that exhibit the same bad behavior. The gun makes this a much worse event, but I’m sure alcohol was the root of this. Why is drunkeness so blatantly allowed in the parking lot?
Kids today don’t know how to fight, so they need weapons. Pathetic, really.
