The Honolulu Police Department was conducting a sobriety check point at N. King and Maunakea Streets on Saturday evening from 5:15 pm to 8:15 pm. The check point was one of three set up in the area and was a response for more police presence after the fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning. “We just want everyone to know that we’re here,” said and Sgt. Mike Miranda.
