Approximately 2,700 animal lovers and their pets participated in the Petco Foundation Pet Walk 2016 at Magic Island Recreational Park on Sunday. The annual event raises money for the Hawaiian Humane Society and featured live entertainment, a pet float and costume contest. About $275,000 had been raised in the morning and organizers hoped to reach the goal of $295,000 by the end of the day. About $275,000 had been raised in the morning and organizers hoped to reach the goal of $295,000 by the end of the day. Pictured wearing boxing gloves and waiting to enter the pet float contest is a Jack Russell/Beagle mix named "Bali." Her owner, Susie Olsen joked, "Sheʻs Bali Ali!" The dog placed third in the competition.
