Man arrested for Waikiki Christmas theft

A 58-year-old man who allegedly stole merchandise worth more than $750 from a Waikiki store on Christmas afternoon was arrested at the scene, police said.

The suspect was taken into custody at 2:45 p.m. Sunday and could face a charge of theft in the second degree along with an outstanding traffic warrant, police records show. He remains in custody pending investigation.
