2017 K. Mark Takai Swimming and Diving Hawaii State Championships were held at the UH Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex. This is Michael Petrifies (MPI, 2nd from bottom with head just entering water, 4:38.27) on his way to win the Boys 500 Yard Freestyle race over DongJin Hwang (Kalani, 3rd from front, 4:33.80) who finished second.
