>> In February 2016, city prosecutors told the parents of Peyton Valiente, a toddler who was severely injured while under a baby sitter’s care, that they could not proceed with the case because the evidence did not point to a single suspect. They did not contact the Valientes afterward, according to the family. A Page B1 story Monday said no one from the police or prosecutor’s office contacted the family at any point.
