Vog obscured the view of the Waianae Range from Punchbowl on Sunday.
Continued light winds will deliver muggy conditions and vog across the
state for the next several days, according to the National Weather Service. A
cold front north of Kauai has been moving eastward, keeping a weak
surface ridge over the islands, forecasters reported. Afternoon sea breezes
will lead to cloud buildup and an increased chance of showers. Land
breezes should clear the clouds at night. Tradewinds are expected to return
by the end of the week. Meanwhile a high-surf advisory remains in effect for
the north and west shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu and Molokai, and the
north shores of Maui, through 6 p.m. today.
