Diver found off Makapuu dies
A diver who was found unconscious in waters off Makapuu over the weekend has died.
Police said he was pronounced dead at a hospital Monday. His name hasn’t been released by the Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office.
At about 10:45 a.m. Sunday, the man, 42, was brought to shore by beachgoers at Baby Makapuu. Lifeguards performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation until firefighters and paramedics arrived and took him to the hospital.
Man found dead in Hilo Bay is identified
Hawaii County police Tuesday identified the man found floating in Hilo Bay as 46-year-old Arthur Miller III.
Police made the identification through fingerprints.

Miller had no permanent address, police said.
The Hawaii County Fire Department on May 15 located and recovered the nude body of a man a quarter-mile off the Wainaku shoreline.
No foul play is suspected, but the cause of death has been deferred pending toxicology tests, police said.
