An official dedication and blessing ceremony was held for the Hawaiian Music Walk of Fame on Sunday along Kalakaua Ave. in Waikiki. Seven Hawaiian music legends were honored with a blessing, speeches, song and hula. The bronze installations on the wall and in the sidewalk honor music legends Don Ho, Alfred Apaka, Israel Kamakawiwo’ole, Gabby Pahinui, Chick Daniels, Hilo Hattie & Alice Namakelua. Wall-mounted QR codes give complete biographies of the Legends in four languages and video of live performance of each musician.
