Letter: Hold contractors liable for delays

The headline about Aloha Stadium read, “Venue may be ready in 2023, firm says” (Star- Advertiser, Sept. 12).

If that’s the case, get it in writing with reimbursements if it’s not done by the stated time.

Let the contractors who bid and profit on these jobs suffer at the expense of their incompetence and poor planning, instead of hanging it all in the overburdened taxpayers. Again.

This should be a standard for all government contracts.
