Honolulu police seized hundreds of pounds of fireworks from a home in Makiki Tuesday.

Patrol officers responded to a report of an argument at a residence at the 1200 block of Matlock Avenue shortly after 4:30 p.m. When they arrived, they observed a substantial amount of fireworks in the home, police said.

Upon further investigation, officers seized several hundred pounds of fireworks including aerials, police added.

Police arrested a man and woman in their 30s on suspicion of illegal possession of fireworks.

Both were later released pending investigation.
