Last tanker of Red Hill fuel departs Hawaii

The last tanker participating in the defueling of the Navy’s underground Red Hill facility sailed out of Pearl Harbor on Wednesday morning.

The Yosemite Trader was the last tanker filled with fuel from the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility site to leave the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam on Wednesday. Approximately 104,642,160 gallons of fuel has been removed from the facility with about 64,000 gallons remaining. Pictured is the tanker before its departure to the Philippines.
