HFD extinguishes trailer fire in Nanakuli

Honolulu firefighters extinguished a trailer fire in Nanakuli on Tuesday afternoon. No injuries were reported.

The 911 call to the Honolulu Fire Department came in at about 2 p.m. for a fire at 92-200 Farrington Highway in Nanakuli. Seven units with about 23 personnel responded and found smoke and flames emanating from a detached trailer on site.

The trailer was reportedly used as an employee lunchroom.

Firefighters began an aggressive attack and brought the fire under control at 2:26 p.m., before fully extinguishing it at 2:36 p.m.

HFD confirmed no occupants were in the trailer during the fire.

An investigation is underway to determine the fire’s origin and cause, as well as estimated damages.
