A Lanikai beachfront home valued at over $200,000 is being given to Hawaii Preparatory Academy in Kamuela, on the Big Island, by Laura and Herbert Dowsett, who will continue to occupy the Mokulua Drive home during their lifetime. When the full title is transferred to the school, the proceeds will go toward the school’s building fund.

Bob Bardo of Kaneohe took more than a year to rebuild this 1923 Ford T Roadster, which has a 435-horsepower 1970 Corvette engine. He spent about $2,500 and did all the work himself. His car is among those on display at the Summer Rod and Custom Show at the Honolulu International Center Exhibition Hall.
