Seahawks agree to terms with top draft choice Russell Okung

RENTON, Wash. — The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to terms with sixth-overall draft choice Russell Okung, the last first-round pick to sign.

The team confirmed the deal on Friday morning, but terms were not immediately available.

ESPN.com first reported the deal is for six years and with $29 million guaranteed.

Agent Peter Schaffer did not immediately return messages from The Associated Press.

Seattle selected Okung in April’s draft out of Oklahoma State to replace retired All-Pro left tackle Walter Jones.

New Seahawks coach Pete Carroll named him the starter the day he drafted Okung.

Okung missed the first six days of Seattle’s training camp.
