A 28-year-old man was charged today with drugging and sexually assaulting a woman in Waikiki.
Jack R. Mellon III faces charges of first-degree sexual assault and second-degree sexual assault. He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
A 28-year-old woman told police an acquaintance drugged her with alcohol and other drugs and sexually assaulted her about 1 a.m. Sunday.
Mellon was arrested at his home at 300 Wai Nani Way in Waikiki about 11:50 a.m. Tuesday.
