Guided-missile destroyer leaving Pearl Harbor for Middle East
A Pearl Harbor-based guided-missile destroyer deploys today for the Middle East and Western Pacific.
The USS Paul Hamilton, an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, has a crew of about 30 officers and 223 enlisted sailors led by Cmdr. Edward J. Eder.
The ship leaves this morning from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in support of operations in the Fifth and Seventh Fleet operating areas, Navy officials said.
