Police seek suspect in First Hawaiian Liliha robbery

Honolulu police released this security camera image of a suspect in the robbery of the Liliha branch of First Hawaiian Bank.

The Liliha branch of First Hawaiian Bank at 455 North King Street was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money Tuesday morning, police said.

A man entered the bank, handed the teller a note demaning cash and fled on foot on King Street towards Aala Park at about 8:34 a.m., police said.

The suspect is described as a man in his 30s, 5 foot, 10 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds with brown hair and a goatee. He was wearing a black jacket, white T-shirt, light colored shorts and a brown cap.

Correction: The Liliha First Hawaiian Bank branch was robbed Tuesday morning. An earlier version of this story and on page B2 of today’s paper said it was a Kalihi Bank of Hawaii branch.
