» Monday: The Honolulu Board of Water Supply will hold a public hearing on proposed increases to Oahu water rates, 2 p.m., Board of Water Supply board room, 630 S. Beretania St.

» Monday: The city Department of Facilities Maintenance will conduct a sand-restoration project beginning at 8 a.m. at Makaha Surfing Beach.

» Tuesday: The state Board of Geographic Names will discuss "associated names" for Hawaii island, 1 p.m., 235 S. Beretania St., sixth floor.

» Thursday: The Hawaii Labor Relations Board will hold a hearing on a "prohibited practices" complaint by the Hawaii State Teachers Association against the state regarding teacher contract negotiations, 9 a.m., 830 Punchbowl St., room 434.

» Thursday-Friday: The state Land Use Commission will consider a request to reclassify 34,516 acres of agricultural land to urban use, and 16,509 acres of agricultural land to the rural district for residential, park and open space uses in Kula, Maui, for the Kula Ridge project. The meetings are 1 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday at Kula Catholic Community Holy Ghost Hall, 9177 Kula Highway.
