3 boys arrested for allegedly exploding device at Highlands Intermediate
Three boys were arrested after exploding a homemade device on the campus of Highlands Intermediate School in Pearl City, police said.
The boys, ages 13 to 14, made the explosive device and blew it up in a storm drain on the campus on Hoolaulea Street about 7:10 a.m. Friday, police said.
Officers arrested the three boys after school officials found them and called police. No one was hurt and no damages were reported.
