Hawaiian Electric Co. crews finished repairs on a utility pole that was hit by a car at Waialae Avenue near 2nd Avenue Saturday morning.

Repairs were finished just after 2 p.m. and power was restored to the last 70 customers of 1,200 customers, who lost power after the 6:15 a.m. accident.

Police closed the Koko Head-bound lanes of Waialae and contra-flowed the town-bound lanes for several hours as crews replaced the pole.

Several businesses, including the 7-11 on Waialae and 2nd Avenue, were without power.  A Hawaiian Electric Co. spokeswoman said about 1,200 customers lost electricity after the crash, but repair crews were able to quickly restore power to all but 360 customers. Many of those remaining customers had their power restored, but about 70 customers in the 2nd Avenue area between Waialae and Harding avenues had no power until repairs were completed.

There were no injuries reported.
