Victim injured pursuing robbery suspects

A 21-year-old woman who chased after robbery suspects fleeing in a car in Kapolei was seriously injured Saturday morning, police said.

Police arrested one of the two suspects, a 30-year-old woman with no local address, Saturday night at the Kapolei police station on suspicion of first-degreee robbery, failure to render aid and fleeing the scene of an accident.

The incident happened at about 7:30 a.m. Police said one suspect took a 21-year-old woman’s property and fled to an awaiting getaway vehicle.

The victim pursued the suspects and was injured trying to recover her property, police said.

She was taken to the hospital in serious condition, police said.

Officers were still looking for a second suspect, a 29-year-old man.

Police did not release a specific location for the incident and did not give a description of the second suspect.
