Police released this security camera image of a purse-snatching suspect in a Nov. 18 incident.

Honolulu police are asking for the public’s help in catching a man who shoved a woman to the ground and stole her purse last month.

Police released security camera video and an image of the attacker, who was wearing a T-shirt, white shorts, white shoes and sunglasses.

The incident happened on Nov. 18 at about 5:20 p.m.

Police said the man approached the victim from behind, snatched her property, shoved her to the ground, took her bag and fled the scene on foot.

The video shows the woman rolling on the ground after she was shoved, and the man running away with her bag.

Police did not release information on where the incident happened.

Police ask anyone with information about the suspect to call 529-3111.

I don’t know him, but I know this about him. He’s a cowardly punk. That should narrow this search.

Please be careful out there people. Hawaii is one big crime scene. The civil tapestry out here is being unwoven. Exaggeration? Hardly. Walk around in the day and look around you.

  2. honolulugal says:

How is this helping the public to find this criminal by not allowing more information about this crime? And how is this protecting the public by not telling where this happened and waiting three weeks to tell us about it?

  3. lokela says:

Hope they catch the perp and put him away. People like him don’t deserve to walk this Earth.
