Woman allegedly punches teenage girl, breaking tooth, then steals cellphone
A 24-year-old woman was charged with felony offenses after police said she punched a teenage girl, breaking the girl’s tooth, while robbing her of her phone Saturday in Liliha.
Dyanna Lavon Hall, of no local address, was charged with second-degree robbery and two drug offenses, all felony counts. She remained at Oahu Community Correctional Center Wednesday unable to post $25,000 bail and had a preliminary hearing scheduled for Thursday.
A police affidavit filed in District Court on Monday said the incident began when a man noticed Hall damage his in-law’s vehicle near Kukui Gardens about 7:45 p.m. Saturday.
The man followed Hall as she walked up to two teen girls and demanded the cellphone from one of the girls. When the girl refused, Hall grabbed the girl’s neck, pushed her down by the throat, and punched her on the right side of her face, breaking the girl’s tooth in half, the report said.
She took the girl’s cellphone and fled on foot on Vineyard Boulevard.
The man and two girls flagged down an officer at Liliha Street and Vineyard.
The officer spotted Hall in the middle of the road in the eastbound lanes and detained her. Officers found the girl’s cellphone tucked into the front of Hall’s purple dress.
Police returned the phone to the girl and arrested Hall for investigation of robbery and criminal property damage.

Cops and courts won’t do anything to punish the perp. You will need to learn to fight. Take jiu jitsu, boxing, and judo. Borrow this book called “The Science of Street Fighting” and “Championship Boxing” by Jack Dempsey. Just google the second book. The whole book is available in PDF format free.
Those are sporting arts more than self defense practices. For self defense, I’d think of taking Krav Maga. I’d also read Marc MacYoung’s book, “In the name of self defense”, which covers things almost no one thinks of…such as NEVER admitting to self defense. It’s best to say nothing to anyone, until you lawyer up and talk to your lawyer. The minute you plead self defense, you’ve just admitted to the crime you were under investigation for (be it assault, or worse, homicide). Now, you have to prove your innocence, rather than the prosecutor having to prove your guilt. Also, never forget that the time frame for self defense is very, very short….more of an action, reaction sort of thing. In this case, if the teen struck Hall as Hall was grabbing her throat and punching her, that could be considered self defense. If the teen got up after getting her tooth knocked out and chased then punched Hall, who was walking toward Vineyard Blvd., even it was just a couple of seconds after losing her tooth, it wouldn’t be considered self defense, as Hall was walking away and was no longer a threat.

It also works when you’re an unarmed, skinny female of any race who is about to get assaulted by someone bigger than she is.
PS Did that “skinny, “unarmed” kid just stab any innocent civilians? Is he unarmed because he already threw the brick into someone’s head?
